Cascades Verdae, a premier retirement community in Greenville, S.C., has attested to meeting Argentum’s Phase 1 quality standards.

“By attesting that Cascades Verdae meets Argentum’s Phase 1 standards, we are demonstrating to our members and their families our commitment to quality service, purpose-based programming and self-regulation,” said Executive Director Andy Clements.

Introduced by Argentum in January 2016, these standards are designed to complement state laws and regulations governing the operations of senior living communities. Each year, Argentum will publish a new set of standards that will act as key quality indicators and track quality improvement.

Clements calls adherence to the standards a “strategic investment in the future of Cascades Verdae.” He adds that the standards “demand high quality in all areas of the community including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, short-term rehab and memory care.”

Cascades Verdae attested that the community meets the following standards:

  • Consumer Disclosure
  • Resident Rights
  • Resident-centered care
  • Infrastructure
  • Staff training and qualifications
  • Programming
  • Medication delivery
  • Quality improvement
  • Dining
  • Regulatory compliance and enforcement
  • Workforce
  • Memory care

Cascades Verdae has received a certificate of their commitment to quality from Argentum that is valid until April 2017.
