Vaccines – Round 2
Earlier this week, we received the second dose of our COVID-19 vaccine! We are proud to continually put people first to ensure the safety of our Members and staff at Cascades Verdae! We are officially COVID-19 Vaccinated!
Creative Hobbies
We love when our Members can try new hobbies and pick up some of their favorites that they previously never had enough time to enjoy. During the last few months, our Members have been embracing their inner artist. As they have been working on some incredible pieces, we wanted to put them on display. We transformed our Art Room into a gallery for everyone to view. We will continue to add and rotate their pieces.
Valentine’s Day
Love is in the air here at Cascades Verdae! Our wonderful Activities Committee helped our Social Director, Ed decorate our Dining room for a special Valentine’s Dinner. To say they did a great job is an understatement.
Mardi Gras
“Laissez Le Bon Temps Rouler!” In honor of Mardi Gras, we hosted a grand Fat Tuesday Dinner for our Members! There was jazz music blasting and beautiful decorations throughout our Dining Room, transporting our Members into New Orleans. Members enjoyed a sumptuous meal of Creole Chicken, Jambalaya, and of course King Cake!
National Margarita Day
Cheers to National Margarita Day! Our Members in Care Services sat back and relaxed while we prepared some delicious margaritas!
The Greatest Show
Come one, come all to the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’! Our Care Services Members had a day full of fun and games. Our Members started the experience by meeting up with our Clown who was making magical balloon animals for everyone! Everyone then made their way to play Skee Ball, Basketball, Axe Throwing, Target Shooting, Clown Toss, Bean Bag Toss, AND a Ring Toss on classic Coca-Cola bottles! The smiles could be seen from down the halls. But of course, it wouldn’t be a carnival without scrumptious treats! There were Cracker Jacks, Animal Crackers, Popcorn, and delicious cookies to enjoy. The entertainment of the day included our Life Enrichment Leaders facing off in a juggling competition. The competition was tough but there could only be one winner! As the day came to a close, our carnival-goers gathered their stuffed animal prizes, leftover treats, and headed home with memories of a fun day!
