Cascades Verdae Receives COVID-19 Vaccine
Residents and staff of The Cascades Verdae, the premier retirement community in the Upstate, will receive their first COVID-19 vaccinations on, Tuesday, December 29th.
“We are extremely excited and blessed to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to our Residents and Staff. The Pandemic is far from over outside of The Cascades Verdae; but for our Residents and Staff, the end is finally near.” Said Cory Hoots, The Cascades Verdae’s Executive Director.
The Cascades Verdae partnered with CVS Health to administer the vaccine and will be able to complete more than 300 vaccinations at the first vaccine clinic.
A second clinic will be taking place on Tuesday, January 26th to administer an initial dose to any New Residents and Staff or any that chose not to receive it during the first clinic. Also, the second dose will be given to the residents and staff who received an initial dose at the first clinic. A third clinic will be held on Thursday, February 18th for the residents and staff who received the initial dose at the second clinic.

Throughout these unprecedented times our residents have continued to live a Weller Life and this vaccine clinic is a critical step to ensuring our residents can further do so. Make no mistake, our resident’s lives have been disrupted; just as everyone else’s, however not near to the extent. At The Cascades Verdae our residents have continued to live and have fun in a safe, private, gated community with socialization, dining, wellness, housekeeping, maintenance, on-site health center and other amenities available to them. We firmly believe that people have been safer and better off living in our community than they have been on their own.”
Throughout this Pandemic, The Cascades Verdae has adhered to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and local, state, and federal authorities’ guidelines pertaining to COVID-19; as well as established internal policies regarding communicable diseases.
